Garage Door Safety Check
Every week, take a few minutes to ensure your garage door operates safely and smoothly:
- Test the auto-reverse feature by placing an object in the door’s path. (directly in the middle of the door. The safety system isn’t as smart as we would like it to be).
- Lubricate hinges, rollers, and *bearings* for quiet and efficient operation. Avoid greasing the track the wheels roll in.
- Inspect cables for** fraying** or if you hear any new noise coming from the door. There could be potential damage.
- Verify the weatherstripping is sealing properly to keep out drafts.
